Dos Peregrinas

For many years, we have been blessed enough to travel as much as we can. Here are some pictures of our travels as well as pictures where you might see our adventure seeking, nature loving, music aficionados, sunset catching, sunrise admiring, foodie, wine loving, and laughter hunting personalities. Always, following The Light.

“I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -John 8:12

Hiking the Oregon waterfalls, paddleboarding the oceans of Florida, exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, crossing the Puget Sound to whale watch in the Pacific Ocean, sailing the beautiful British Virgin Islands, and wine tasting in Napa Valley as well as Bordeaux, France, just to name a few.  Oh! but there’s more…ringing in a New Year at the Champs-Elysees in Paris, being able to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and witnessing the miracle at the grotto in Lourdes, France. Did we mention, there’s more?! We can’t forget beautiful Canada, where you can have poutine for days and encounter the hospitality and European history in its buildings and roads, exploring cities in the US-places like Chicago where you can see your reflection with the alluring downtown in your background  on ‘the bean’, Atlanta where you can ride your bikes or simply take a walk through beautiful Piedmont Park and Niagara Falls, to experience the majestic and impressive waterfalls.  Are you tired yet or motivated to book your next trip! Don’t answer…because you guessed it, there’s more! Austin, Texas where you can have some of the best BBQ out there and in addition, discover the beauty and charm of Ladybird Lake or climb up to Mount Bonnell.  And we can’t forget, Seattle where we overlooked the city from the top of the Space Needle.

Where there is good food, good wine and cocktails, we toast!  When we hear music, we dance! Rain or shine, under the sun or moonlit sky…we dance some more! Shaded trees provide endless canopy for talks, naps, and stillness. Nature fuels us as we know that in everything God is there.

If there is a bike, we cycle.  If there is a SUP, we paddle.  If there is an ocean, we swim. If there is a boat, we set sail .  Where there is land, we hike.  And where there is an opportunity to walk with Him (or in His footsteps), as in El Camino de Santiago, we embrace it. These trips, experiences, and blessings have not been ours alone. Many have been shared with family, friends joining us or in spirit, which is why we decided to create this site. This is dedicated to our family and friends so that they too can continue walking with us.

So, after the last two years of waiting to take this journey, excitement and gratitude overwhelm us. Another chapter in our book.  It has not always been easy as we wait on the sidelines, but after all, it is still a beautiful world and we have so much yet to explore! Enjoy El Duo Camino, share this site with your family and friends and be like the scallop shell, symbolic of an open hand, symbolizing the good deeds expected of a pilgrim. ✝️ ❤️

‘Travel isn't often pretty.  It isn't often comfortable.  Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart.  But that's okay.  The journey changes you; it should change you.  It leaves marks on your memory, on your body.  You take something with you.  Hopefully, you leave something good behind. ‘ -Anthony Bourdain
